STANDARDS, GUIDELINES AND GUIDANCE:
  •  NYS Erin's Law - Erin’s Law requires public school personnel and K-12 students to learn about child sexual abuse prevention. Personnel curriculum must cover the warning signs of child sexual abuse and mandated reportinghow to appropriately respond to disclosure, how to talk to parents, and how to speak to students about child sexual abuse prevention. https://www.d2l.org/erins-law/ 
SEXUALITY SPECIFIC CURRICULUM AND BOOKS: 
Please note that you will have to adapt any of these to the NYS Guidance Document as well as NYS Health Education and National Health Education Standards.
  • Advocate for Youth 3R's Sexuality Curriculum (2023): This is a peer-reviewed curriculum that also included student reviewers. Additional searches on this website also has additional topics (STI/STD/HIV/AIDS, pregnancy, puberty, and more).   https://www.3rs.org/3rs-curric-search/

 HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS CURRICULUM:
  • Healthy Relationships and Consent: Through the Lindsay Anne Burke Memorial Fund (2023), you can apply for grants (link at top of page) to get a variety of evidence based curriculum's like Safe Dates. There are also many other resources that are free on this page. http://www.labmf.org/curriculum-materials.
  • Take a Stand FOR Healthy Relationships: A Teen Dating Violence Prevention Curriculum by National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (2023) - Teach students to recognize healthy, safe qualities and behaviors in relationships with standards-aligned resources for in-school use. http://www.teens4healthyrelationships.org/
